Section 48C Advanced Energy Project Tax Credits Certified for NOVONIX Riverside (April 2026)

On 9 April 2026 NOVONIX announced that the U.S. Government had certified its Riverside project in connection with US$103 million of tax credits previously allocated under the Section 48C Advanced Energy Project Credit Program. The credits are payable when NOVONIX places its first 11,000 tpa of production in service, provided that occurs before 7 April 2028, and can be sold to a third party. The company release does not state when the original allocation was made, so only the certification is dated here.
