Government of Canada Offtake Agreement for 30,000 t/y of Matawinie Graphite Concentrate (2026)

Nouveau Monde Graphite announced on 26 March 2026 an updated binding offtake and marketing framework with the Government of Canada, acting through Public Services and Procurement Canada, for 30,000 tonnes per annum of flake graphite concentrate from the Phase-2 Matawinie Mine over a seven-year take-or-pay term, priced on a North American fixed price with annual Industrial Product Price Index adjustment and 50-50 upside sharing on resale proceeds above the fixed price. The Prime Minister's 19 May 2026 groundbreaking release states that the Government of Canada 'has entered into' the seven-year, 30,000 tonne-per-year offtake agreement.
