Canada Growth Fund ~C$113 Million Private Placement in Nouveau Monde Graphite (April 2026)

Canada Growth Fund announced on 9 April 2026 that it had entered into a definitive agreement for a private placement of approximately US$82 million (approximately C$113 million) in Nouveau Monde Graphite, supporting construction of the Matawinie Mine, alongside commitments from Eni and Investissement Quebec within a broader US$633 million package. CGF states that in December 2024 it announced a ~C$35.6 million private placement with NMG, its first critical minerals investment. The Prime Minister's 19 May 2026 release describes the same commitments as '$113 million' and '$35.6 million' without a currency label; CGF's own denomination is used here.
