JOGMEC and Iwatani investment of up to EUR 110 million in Caremag via Japan France Rare Earth Company

Up to EUR 110 million in equity and shareholder loans from JOGMEC and Iwatani Corporation to Caremag SAS (a Carester subsidiary), invested through their joint venture Japan France Rare Earth Company as part of the EUR 216 million financing secured 17 March 2025 for the Lacq rare earth recycling and refining facility. The package includes a long-term agreement to supply Japan with heavy rare earth oxides, recorded here as a claim; the source gives no offtake quantities, prices or tenor, so no separate offtake instrument is created. The French government's EUR 106 million is recorded separately as caremag-france-2025.
