Talga Luleå Anode Refinery and EVA Qualification Plant
Talga Group's natural-graphite anode operations at Luleå, Sweden: the operating EVA (Electric Vehicle Anode) qualification plant, producing 50 t/year of Talnode-C anode material from Vittangi trial-mining ore since 2022, and the planned commercial anode refinery, in FEED for a first 5,000 t/year commercial anode line with FID and targeted commercial output in 2027-28. The integrated Vittangi Anode Project holds a EUR 70 million EU Innovation Fund grant (project TalnodeONE) and a EUR 150 million EIB board-approved debt facility (currently undrawn); the refinery holds Strategic Project status under the EU Net-Zero Industry Act, while the Commission's first CRMA Strategic Projects list carries the related 'Talga Natural Graphite ONE' extraction entry. The refinery's three transformations (purification, particle shaping, coating) are recorded as separate planned lines; the intermediate material split is inferred from Talga's description of its purification, shaping and coating technologies. An earlier-reported 19,500 t/year full-project capacity figure was not confirmed on any source loaded this pass and is omitted.
Location: Luleå, Norrbotten, Sweden
