Lynas Kalgoorlie Rare Earths Processing Facility
Lynas Rare Earths' cracking and leaching facility at Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Western Australia, which processes rare earth concentrate from the Mt Weld mine into a mixed rare earth carbonate (MREC) for further processing at Lynas Malaysia. First feed of Mt Weld material was reported in December 2023, marking the transition from commissioning to initial production, and Lynas reported that MREC production commenced in the June 2024 quarter with the first shipment dispatched to Lynas Malaysia. Operating and ramping up.
Location: Kalgoorlie-Boulder (Lot 500 Great Eastern Highway, Yilkari), Western Australia, Australia
