International Graphite Collie Micronising Facility

International Graphite's graphite processing hub at Collie, Western Australia: an operating pilot and qualification micronising plant that began production in February 2024 behind a A$2 million Western Australian grant, and a commercial-scale micronising facility funded in April 2024 by a further A$4.5 million from the Western Australian Government alongside A$4.7 million in Commonwealth funding under the Critical Minerals Development Program. The State also provided A$2 million for a feasibility study into a purpose-built battery anode material facility at Collie, which would take the company from mining and concentrating at Springdale near Hopetoun through to micronising and precursor material production. The commercial plant is stated at 4,000 tonnes per year initial capacity with an expansion pathway to about 7,500 tonnes per year and start-up targeted for 2027; as of the March 2026 quarter the company reported project designs complete and micronising equipment ordered but building approval from the Shire of Collie still pending, so no construction-start event is recorded. Micronising reduces particle size without purifying, and the fixed material vocabulary has no micronised-graphite token, so the line's output is recorded against natural graphite concentrate with that limitation stated on the claim.
