Facility

Graphite One Graphite Creek Project

Graphite One's flake graphite deposit at Graphite Creek, roughly 35 miles (about 60 km) north of Nome, Alaska, which the company says the U.S. Geological Survey has confirmed as the country's largest known graphite resource. In July 2023 the company was awarded $37.5 million under Title III of the Defense Production Act, funded through the Inflation Reduction Act, within a Technology Investment Agreement of approximately $75.0 million split equally between DoD and the company, to accelerate a feasibility study. That study was published on 23 April 2025 with an effective date of 25 March 2025; it raised the mine's annual graphite concentrate capacity from the 53,000 tpy of the 2022 pre-feasibility study to 175,000 tpy over a 20-year mine life, and the company moved into the permitting phase. Downstream anode plans moved from Washington State in the 2023 release to Ohio in the 2025 study, and are not recorded here as this facility's lines. Export-Import Bank letters of interest are excluded as government involvement under the project's locked rule and are not recorded. The graphite material vocabulary begins at concentrate, so the mine line records its concentrate output and no run-of-mine ore input.
